Smoothie Recipe!




We LOVE to make smoothies at our place. It's such a great alternative to heavy sugary junk food and smoothies are packed with delicious flavor so it never seems like a sacrifice to us. When our Zoe was little she couldn't tolerate anything with dairy, so we always swapped out the milk for SILK Soy, blended fresh fruit with ice, and added a scoop of soy protein to get her the brain and muscle building nutrients. It wasn't long before the kids were requesting smoothies instead of other desserts.

Here is a delicious Strawberry Banana recipe-

4 large strawberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 c. milk
1 ripe banana
5 ice cubes
1 1/2 tsp. sugar (opt.)

Combine strawberries, milk, banana and ice. Blend until perfectly smooth. Add sugar. Blend for 1 minute.

Makes approximately 32 oz.

Servings: 4

Yield: 32 oz
